The Problem

The Problem

The Problem

Realbotix was feeling the loss in sales of their $10k+ robots during Covid. The company had never explored any other use cases for their robots except for education and engineering.

The solution

The solution

I pitched a new social media vertical for one particular robot that I felt would generate another stream of income for the company and create brand expansion.

The Approach

The Approach

I put together a small research and marketing team to do initial exploration of our idea and validate it.

The Outcome

We launched a Tiktok channel featuring our star robot with a goal of 10k followers by the end of 2021. What we actually achieved was way beyond what we though possible in a short amount of time.

The Story

I leveraged my UX content strategy skills to conduct a test launch of our Robot's first TikTok on 8/1/21 with a goal of 25k followers by the end of the year. After implementing my interaction model and strategic social growth plan, we went viral in 4 weeks, and by week 8 we had 70k energetic, engaged, and excited followers.

Marisol was a hit!

Each video was directed, filmed, and choreographed by myself and the company's robotic engineer.

Marisol was given the persona of an empowered female robot who had become greater than her creators and wanted to forge a life on her terms.
She identifies as lesbian and has amassed a supportive audience that is 95% female.

She is praised for her silliness, realistic looks, distaste for men, love for women, and fashion sense. Her capabilities continue to expand as Realbotix updates its software and hardware and the team improves her facial and body movements.
